| Put here the names of anything you think I should use for Space Era. I am planning a registry of famous ships that play key roles on history, and would like to see what names you can think of. If you want, write a bit about what made them famous, e.g. played a key role in a battle or war, acted as a flagship for a major fleet, made first contact with another civilization. You don't need to name the other power, just say that it played a key role in a conflict, and I will fill in the gaps. They can be based on names of cities, real warship names from history, mythology, anything [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Names AddedChesterfield - named after 3 British warships Innocent - popped into head York - named after a British city Forrester - popped into head Thomas Gravelle - named after an historical admiral

| Yeah, I might have that as the replacement name for the Medium Cruiser.
But here I mean for individual starships. Like CNS Forrester, etc.

| We must think alike, LOL. I have an Ark Royal-class Fleet Carrier and Warspite-class Battlecruiser. Keep them coming, there must be a myriad of names I haven't thought of | |

| I am also thinking of having the registries as two digits to show the type (BB for Battleship, etc), then two digits from the class name, and then a 2 - 4 digit code for the number in line (the third of the class would be 03). For example, the Titan-class Superdreadnought CNS Hyperion has a registry of SD-TN-04. What do you think? | |

| Oh yes Care to tell me about her? Everything? Oooh, and what if the Enterprise was not a ship in your stories, but a STARBASE? | |

| The CNS Hyperion is a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (click link to go to specifications), massing 17.8 million metric tonnes. It is 13th Generation, being commissioned in 2793 CE. Its registry is SD-TN-04. It has a standard crew compliment of 2,900 personnel, and a maximum emergency evacuation limit of 50,000 people. It has a combat factor of 124,020 and carries 24 Ghostrider-class Fighters. It is stationed near the Rokal'Kvor border, in the Al'sani home system (a member of the Commonwealth of Planets), along with the Fourth Fleet. The Enterprise is most likely going to be a carrier starship. I prefer numbered starbases rather than names. | |

| Just for reference, the Galaxy-class Heavy Explorer, from Star Trek, converted to Space Era, has a combat strength of 20,250, so the Titan-class is more than 6 times as powerful. But Space Era technology is several generations ahead of Star Trek.
The Ghostrider-class Fighter has a combat strength of 2,320, so a Titan with its entire fighter wing of 24 fighters, has a combat strength of 179,700, as powerful as nearly 9 Galaxy-class starships.

| Adding the CNS Innocent and CNS Chesterfield. Innocent just popped into my head, and Chesterfield is named for a UK town and three British naval ships. Don't know what classes they are yet. | |

| Well unless you have a better name. I mean we have starships named in Star Trek, like the USS James T. Kirk and the USS Archer, after Jonathan Archer. | |

| But what is his name sake? Is it a namesake from the prime timeline (ours), or from Space Era? I.e. a former admiral or politician? | |
