| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Currently the only sensor systems in Space Era are "Long Range Sensors" and "Tachyon Sensor Arrays". LRS are general sensors, and TSA are for detecting cloaked ships. Both systems simply have a range in light years, which modifies the size and cost. Now I am planning to implement "Strength" factors into the calculations. For example, a destroyer may have a 5 light year, strength 5 long range sensor array, and no tachyon sensor array (only polities that have encountered cloaking technology have TSA's). Whereas a battleship may have an 18 light year, strength 15 long range sensor array. The strength factors won't considerably change the mass of the system, but will dramatically increase the cost. What do you think? | |

| I have adjusted the Long Range Sensor Arrays and Tachyon Sensor Arrays, they now have: - Hi Resolution Range, Low Resolution Range, and Strength for Long Range Sensors. - Range and Strength for Tachyon Sensors.
For both, range is in Light Years.
I have also added Lateral Sensors, which has Strength and Range (in AU).
There are now separate tech levels for Range and Strength for each type. | |
